Raspberries Frozen
Most customers assume that they can only get our fruit in the summer, but that's all changed! As part of our sustainability initiative and to cut down on our waste, we have been pureeing, cubing, and freezing our summer fruit.
This is perfect for restaurants, caterers, chefs, bakers, and foodies. Our fruit is high quality and sourced from our own farm or trusted sources. Don't skimp on quality when it comes to frozen products!
Taste: Incredibly delicate, the raspberry’s mild, vanilla sweetness has just a hint of tartness.
Nutritional info:
Outstanding source of phytonutrients, and provide us with dozens of anthocyanins, flavonoids, stilbenoids, phenolic acids, tannins and lignans, all of which go to protecting our bodies from damaging free-radicals
Excellent source of vitamin C, manganese, and dietary fiber
A compound found in raspberries called raspberry ketone, has been shown to increase metabolism in our fat cells
When to Look for Raspberries: Raspberries come into season just as strawberries are beginning to taper off, typically starting in early July and continuing until the frosts. We do all our freezing at the perfect ripeness.
Best Uses for Raspberries: In British Colombia, only 3% of raspberries are consumed fresh, and the rest are either frozen or processed into jams, jellies, baked goods, vinegars, and as flavoring for high-end beers.
How to Store Frozen Raspberries: We vacuum seal all our berries for optimal freshness. When opening the bag leave in the fridge or counter to dethaw and separate the pieces. To reseal add to a larger bag or use a reusable clip.
